Hello! Guess what? We published a second issue baby!! This one was a long time coming and finally getting it out into the world is all kinds of wonderful (and a little nerve wracking). The second issue is made by young people for young people (+ the young at heart) and is as independent as ever. This time around we’ve made it free and local, grounding it in the beautiful Coffs Coast – the traditional lands of the Gumbaynggir people.

In this issue I interviewed Catie Zugajev, the organiser of the local School Strikes for Climate. We talk about loving + protecting the ocean, the joys of thrifting and those weird haircuts that we got as teenagers. We’ve got ‘like notes’ for you to give to your friends, zero-waste illustrations to colour in and stick on your wall and a packet of sunflower seeds for you to plant in spring. If it sounds like your sorta thing I’d love to get a copy in your hands!

Most copies of the second issue will be distributed throughout earth friendly café’s and businesses in Coffs Harbour and the surrounding areas. However, there’s also about fifty copies available here. If you’d like one of them please place your order before the 5th of July. All you’ll need to pay is $5 for postage and 10c for the issue (big cartel wouldn't let me list it for free!)

Here’s to shaking up our little corner of the world!

Melanie Hunter.
